Freedom vs Money

I had a discussion today about Vegas that led to talk about counting cards and Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions. The book doesn't need much of a description, but the students executed a complex card counting scheme and were eventually blacklisted from Vegas. I thought of this as negative but got into a debate about it. The question is whether any amount of money is worth it to be unable to visit a location. For example, would you take $5 million on the condition that you could never go to San Francisco (again)?

I won $165 at CC this weekend. Also, my company is developing a Facebook app for ProTrade, a venture back company in SF that was founded by the ring leader of the six MIT kids, Jeff Ma. They did nothing wrong, IMHO. They were smart. That was their penalty.
