Music Collection

With today's easy access to downloads and mp3s, the attitude towards music has been to collect as much as possible. This has been coupled with cheaper memory allowing extremists to brag about their extensive musical databases.

My question is, how do people organize this information much less sift through it to find a song they want to listen to? I think this trend has followed in the direction set by Google - the wealth of information is available but the trick now is to be able to effectively organize it.

As for me, I listen to my ipod mini in my car and have had enough of skipping songs to find one to fit my mood. I do not like wading through ten songs to listen to one and am going against this trend of building up a musical library by removing songs I don't think I'll ever listen to again.
