On Happiness
I used to think that happiness was a state that people constantly tried to achieve. Now I think that happiness is simply a fleeting moment in time. If we're lucky, we experience more of these moments.
Assuming that all things are relative, we often miss identifying these happy moments because it is only in retrospect and in comparison with our other experiences that we realize we were happy, in that moment. But by then, that moment has come and gone.
I think that we are truly fortunate when we can recognize such moments as they occur and thus revel in them.
