Belize Day 2
Slept in. Made some bacon and eggs for breakfast. Laid out in the sun, read and fell asleep. Swam a few laps in the pool.

We rented some bicycles and headed South towards town. Riding bicycles on the beach sounds fun and definitely provided some great views, but whenever we hit patches of soft sand our bikes would tip. Some people had recommended eating barbecue on Sunday so we headed towards a place called Lazy Croc. This place closed at 6 - we thought we made it in time but apparently Belize does not change time for Daylight Savings. Before we went on, I was able to snap this picture of an iguana:

I tried capturing some pictures of our bike ride, but given the bumps and sand I really needed both hands to control my bike. Here's one picture I was able to get as we circled on the back road:

We ended up choosing a place called Aji, which also had great food - croquettes, shrimp, and beefsteak. The view from our table:

We were a little worried that the sun would go down as we ate since we remembered how dark it got the first night. But it turned out okay, and we made it home while we could still see.
The bike rides turned out to be a bit of a workout.
