The Most Important Person In The World
Last week my professor told us a story about a meeting he had when he was first starting out in the representation business. An established agent had invited him to meet, so it was an important meeting. He didn't know what to expect but put on his best suit and headed over to the office.
The agent personally came down to greet him, on time, and asked him up to his office. He sat and spoke 3 feet away from him with no interruptions. No distractions - phone calls, emails, etc. He made him feel like the most important person in the world.
The story definitely made me reflect on how I interact with people - friends, family or otherwise. It was also a good reminder of being there, wherever you are.
