Review: Holiday Inn Express

This is the lobby of the hotel we stayed at - the Holiday Inn Express (in Knowledge Village/ Internet City):

Looks nice, right? Unfortunately, our experience there didn't reflect my first impressions of the lobby. It took quite a while to check in when they should have expected our delegation to arrive. Even worse, they didn't have the necessary accommodations ready so we had to check into a room with 1 full bed and then check back in later for one with 2 twin beds. Just a minor annoyance, but then there were classmates' stories of how their room was given to someone else so that as they were sleeping they could hear someone trying a key. Their staff at the bar was rather rude as well and there were issues with Internet access (wait, isn't this Internet City?)

Overall, I would say this hotel provides the bare minimum for a stay. What was probably the worst was that we went to go see some amazing hotels and the difference was quite stark.
