Having graduated last Friday, today marks my first day of being unemployed. I know not everyone goes straight to work after graduating, but it's also the first time I don't have something lined up so this is definitely a new experience for me. I feel a lot of uncertainty about what comes next, but I'm not stressing too much about it. Call it a blessing or a curse, but I usually don't worry much and think that things will work out well.

I was reflecting on my situation and got to thinking how negative unemployment is. People don't like to talk about it and the news usually refers to 'unemployment numbers' in a rather ominous way. It's depressing but I think some people approach it with the right perspective. They're never really unemployed but rather 'working on a couple projects' or have some job to help make ends meet while they pursue their true passion.
