Burger Expedition

Akin to my recent Noodle Voyage, I recently embarked on a Burger Expedition although admittedly it was unintentional. Summer was meant for barbecues and pool parties so this past weekend we did some grilling at a friend's place. It was a bit chilly for the pool but not for eating so I proceeded to chow down on 2 cheeseburgers and a sausage dog. I got creative with the second burger and added some Ruffles and potato salad, which turned out great.

On a whim, I decided to head out with my friend to meet his cousin who was stopping in LA for a few hours on her way home to Boston from her business school's version of PRIME. After being in Asia for a number of days, guess what she wanted to eat? Yup, burgers. We had eaten around 2PM so I figured I wouldn't eat even though we were going to Umami Burger, which has some of the juiciest burgers. For those of you who have been there you probably wouldn't be surprised that we found out the wait time was roughly 40 minutes. That gave me some time to digest lunch and think about what an accomplishment eating 3 burgers in 1 day would be.

Not much left to tell here. I've had the Manly and Truffle Burger so decided to try the Hatch Burger. It was good.
