Remembering Steve Jobs
A lot has been said and shared about Steve Jobs in the past few days whether it was his Stanford commencement speech, his voice over 'Think Different' Apple Commercial, or an article sharing an individual perspective. People discuss his leadership, genius, artistry, passion, among other admirable and not-so-admirable traits.
Until now, I haven't shared anything myself and instead, soaked in the responses of others. What I'd like to share now is a simple observation.
What strikes me most is how few of us actually know the man, despite the impact he and his vision has had on our lives. Yet, somehow we feel like we do know him, even referring to him on a first-name basis. Because of this unsubstantiated connection, many of us feel compelled to say or share something.
The extent of such influence speaks volumes on the impact 'Steve' has had. He will be missed.
